That seed selects an outcome from the result set written for that game. Change an answer and the seed may select a different outcome; keep the answers the same and the outcome remains stable.
Repeatability matters for sharing. A friend opening a result link should see the result that was sent, and a player trying the same choices should not receive a random contradiction moments later. Stability is a product feature, not evidence that the outcome is true.
Some games also score answer patterns
